Most of this info is outdated, but leaving the thread here for historic reference.

Essentials Map pack as of 11-29-07 => 20.9 MB (You will want this pack if you play on our server)

Fun Map Pack as of 11-29-07 => 19.4 MB (Fun maps we play when the server has a lower population)

Secondary Map Pack as of 11-29-07 => 120 MB (Maps we have not tested on a full server, but seem to be good)

You need to install the following program in order to open the files: http://www.7-zip.org/

You also need to install the maps in the following location (if you installed steam in the deafult location):
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\<account name>\team fortress 2\tf\maps

You may want to download it from Syn's because I was getting between 300 to 500k download.

What did you get when downloaded it from the iron-phoenix.com website?

I was getting 50 - 100k but I think a lot of people where downloading it at that time.

I was getting a steady 400kB/sec from my T3 at work. I had a similar speed from my home connection to the IPHX host.
