The leadership structure of the IRON Phoenix is a fairly simple tree, where each level has its shares of responsibilities that affect those behind them on the tree.

The Administrators are the trunk of the tree. Their roles are: Guidance of the overall community; maintenance of the web-based infrastructure such as the web portal and Teamspeak server; judgement over team issues that are deemed unresolvable by the team directors; judgement/action over non-team issues such as player harassment or malicious contacts from the outside. The Admins are subject to the same rules of conduct that apply to any and every member (these rules are present in the By-laws public forum). Should a difficulty arise with an Administrator, the other Admins, in conjunction with the team Directors, will prosecute the issue fairly but definitively.

The Directors are the team-oriented branches of the leadership structure. Their roles are: Guidance of a given gaming team; recruitment for said team, and indoctrinating new members into the team and into the community at large; judgement over team issues, under the auspices of the Admins; representing the IRON Phoenix in the larger gaming community outside our walls, such as in gaming forums or inter-organization gaming efforts. The Directors are examples to their teams of quality leadership, and this role should be taken to heart. Each set of Directors are supported by their fellow Directors from other teams, and by the Admins, for team growth and enrichment. These roles are strictly voluntary, although the directors/admins tap certain individuals to offer the position. The Directors are subject to the same rules of conduct that apply to any and every member. Should a difficulty arise with an Director, the Admins, in conjunction with that particular team's Directors (unless other teams are involved), will prosecute the issue fairly but definitively.

The members are the most numerous of the community. Members are called to productive discourse with one another; to enrich the community with their comments, gaming enthusiasm and opinions on matters that affect the community at large; to represent the ideals of the IRON Phoenix in the gaming community outside our walls. While not given a particular role in community leadership per se, they are held to the same rules of conduct that apply to everyone else.

The core that binds all three facets of our community is respect and responsible conduct. It's one thing to joke around about someone's choice in spandex, for instance. It's another thing entirely to engage in catcalling or other insulting behavior. If difficulties arise between you and another member, approach the leadership level above you for intercession; or, if your problem goes unresolved, approach the Admins. Appeals on Director decisions can be investigated, but the counsel of the Admins is final and permits no further challenge, for the sake of moving on.
