Um, for some reason I can't log in. I tried to get the damn thing to email me my password (in case I was screwing that up), but it didn't.
Help an Ursine out...I need my stupid joke and NSFW fix!

First, you need to log into a game. Any game. And play for ten minutes. Then we can get you reauthorized.
OK, maybe that's not what it will take, but it wouldn't hurt.
I'll make sure one of the other Admins can get you back up and running bud. I dont quite have the permissions to do it. Hang tight... NSFW is on its way!!!!
Hey TB, i sent an email to your email account that was registered to your TenBears account. Check that email and it will contain a msg from me with your new password.

Damn it. That may be the problem right there. Due to the circumstances during the switch, my email when I joined had to be some hokey Yahoo freemail account, one that was terminated immediately.
Sending you an IM with my real email address.

TB: Create an EQ2 account, log on and you can have me cross gender.
Edit: With our respective spouses' permission of course.
No...you can't tell his spouse...you are "evil." You are not part of "the sisterhood." lol! TB can explain.

Oh come on Dee, you MUST be evil if you don't know about the Sisterhood. It's like the Illuminati or the Skulls, except geared more towards screwing up football games and friendships between married and single guys.

What ever, he was and will always be property of the SWG guild. Now, take ye' meat hooks off of him. Hes got work to do adn I can't have him all scared and bruised up.
TB, you have not heard then of the DD's. The Illumitati will brush your teeth. but the DD tell them what toothpaste to use.
Ok, a long time ago in a galaxy far away, TB joined Iron Brigade. His wife found out that there were women in IB that played games etc. He then told me that his wife said I was not part of the Sisterhood and some other stuff that I can't remember (I'm sure it was all in fun). So, therefore, us women who play games are evil and not part of this Sisterhood that non-gaming women are a part of. :P
DeeDee
01-05-2005, 01:59 PM
Oh, thaaaaat sisterhood. Yeah, they threw me out, but there's a mutual non-disclosure pact as to the reason.
As for evil, well, if it's evil to burn incense, wear robes and light candles, then yeah I'm evil. Or Catholic. But probably evil.
But I'm glad to see you're back TB. Now get into a game. Remember that all lives need balance.
All of you are part of a master evil lady sect that has a creed to hamper and destroy all males around the world.
Evil

Fully intend to do that as soon as things slow down a bit. This was supposed to be my slow season, but work is insane (on top of everything else). When I decide to finally get back into a game (or two), I am gonna be the happiest and whiniest baby you've ever seen. I predict many room switches will occur.
To make my decision for next game, I shall require Dee, Atlantis and Ronin to arm themselves with wiffle bats and proceed to beat on Talion. Whoever makes him cry first shall determine my next play experience. Extra points will be awarded for purple nurples.

**Puts on his best and tallest smartasstic boots, and wades on in**
Yeah, yeah... But see... EQII has that certain something about it... What was it...? Oh yeah! SOE!! The Stealer of Souls!! That was it!
See... Since I started playing WoW, I got my life back. And it's wonderful. I can play 1 hour of WoW and accomplish more in that time period than I could in 6 hours of any SOE MMO that I have tried thus far. I harbor no ill will against the folks that like and/or play SOE games, mind you (the ill will I possess is ALLLLL for SOE). I have just come to realize they aren't for me.
WoW has this awesome way of making you feel like you are playing a console game with thousands of people at once, and all of you are having a grand old time. And at any point it would be OK to say, "hey guys I got this thing I gotta do with this girl in a bit, so I gotta jet, sorry to leave in the middle of this instance, and best of luck killing those 6 uber badguys at the end." And the members of you party would go, "get chu some!", "have fun man, see ya tomorrow", etc., and would proceed to go on about their business with little concern over their ability to finish the in-game task at hand.
Whereas with SOE games, I feel as though I am in a constant struggle. A struggle against the game. Against SOE's patches and policies. Against 13 year olds for uber loot. Against 5 hour long "camping trips" for loot that someone in the group just HAS to own. Against time and life itself outside of my damn room! And let's not even begin to think about what would commence if you tried to get up from the game in mid-quest of the leet loot of the week (if you were grouped with non-Iron folk, that is)... /shudder. Oh and did the "feature" with the stuff in your bags disappearing carry over from SWG? Cause that one was great. I LOVED that trick.
I...just don't get those feelings from WoW... and I fucking LOVE IT!!! I cut off SOE's Digicrack demon and I have a life again. Plus, I play a game I really, thoroughly enjoy.
Talion, this rant wasn't for you buddy, cause we're old school and such and I wouldn't do ya that way, I'm just tired of hearing that crap about WoW being EQII Lite. It goes back to that old saying about "dont knock her up till you've seen her mothe...." er... wait...not that one. You know the one...
*whispers* Hey Mak! Go buy the game. Dude it rules! You go now! GO!
:P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

heh no worries my friend. yeah WoW seems good for those that have less time to play. Aspects of both appeal to me, I have alot of time to play so i enjoy EQII, it is VERY item orientied so yo do have to do the quest for stuff (there is even a 6 part quest for a special armor). for those with alot of time to play EQII seems like a good choice for those with less WoW seems the way to go. either way you go TB ill still be here to give ya a hard time, proof cause masis didnt get away from me

Have to disagree with Masis a bit here. First of all, SWG wasn't my first SOE experience. I was playing EQ1 for a long time before then. So the bugs with SWG never bled over into a hatred of SOE.
And I only play 6 hours a week now. And I'm happy exploring in that time. I've never had an issue leaving a group, but that's mostly because I let people know up front how long I'll be playing. Even the chick/dude I was playing with last night understood completely me needing to disband when my guild showed up and s/he was too low level to come along.
I get a bit sad not being able to find pickup groups for quests sometimes at the low levels, even IRON ones since I am the slowest leveller in the bunch, but I'm told WoW is much much harder to get groups in. I can get groups fine in the XP areas, it's the quest ones I have some trouble in. And I'm all about the quests now.
Of course, it's easier to solo in WoW, so there's that trade off. But I don't want to solo. If I wanted to solo, I'd be playing that console game. Because chatting takes away from my gameplay for the most part. If I wanted to chat, I'd be on mIRC in a chat room with an appropriate topic for us all to be straying from.
Your mileage will certainly vary depending on play times, play styles, yadda yadda yadda, and I certainly don't think WoW is EQLite or EQfor CareBears or EQ anything. It's WoW. And EQ2 is EQ2. And SWG is SWG. And I heard even their space fighting is t3h ub3r.
So pick up any game you want, TB. Really. Any game. But if you don' t pick Eq2, you'll make Gackt cry.

Very well said folks. Thanks for the responses. And it is true that at times I have a bit of trouble finding a group, but those days I just give in and do the quests I can solo. I don't think the problem is antisocial people though - since the 12,000+ people on our server are always looking for a group too - I think it might be more of an issue trying to find 5 people who have it in mind to accomplish the same singular goal you set out to today, in opposition to the (literally) thousands of other quests they might be doing instead. There is so much content in this game that it can be a little scary. Sometimes I just stand there looking at my Quest Log for 10mins trying to figure out which of the damn things I wanna do... but then my brain remembers the Precious. Must get it. More metal for the forge. Yes. Yes. Oh wait... I think I have a quest to kill these guys over here...

Tenbears.
You miss Star Wars Galaxies.
You miss watching Rebels scream in terror.
You miss getting up close and personal with a Nightsister Elder.
You miss beating down the ancient Krayt with only 4 people.
You want to fly your TIE Oppressor on strafing runs of a Rebel Correllian Corvette.
You want to know the feel of the lightsaber as it hums through the super battle droid.
You miss Halton Grewind pestering you to help him defend Theed from the rebel hordes.
Come back to your home my friend. All your friends are here waiting for you.
Talion

Ill give ya a lightsaber halton.... :p
I will have to say the space part of SWG is some of the coollest stuff i have seen in any game, its simply incredible.
Hey TB i have an idea go buy EQII and WoW, see which one you like better, then if they both suck go smack salinar in swg for me :p
