Today (Saturday) I spent several hours in talks with the guild leader of the guild: Monolith they appear to be just like us or at least have the same goals in mind. We both would like to do more raids but have attendance issues. This alliance between the two guild should help to alleviate that problem.
I would like to ask that in game you join the channel ironmono this can be done by typing: /join ironmono. Also that you stop by and check out their website: http://monolith.rbcb.net/. They have an event Calendar they use for raids (KARA) we're all going to try to use their calendar since it's already established. You'll have to register on their site in order to sign up though. if this becomes a problem let me know we'll find a way to work around it.
We are still going to stick to our Tuesday night raids in KARA. and it's on their calendar for sign-ups as well but since Tue. night kara raid was "our" night to begin with our member will have priority spots over their members, that being said if enough members from both guild are on for the raid then we'll try to mix match members between two raids that night.
Let's just see how it goes and we'll work out the "kinks" as we go, so far it's seems like a great plan to get everyone involved and I hope everyone (that wants to) participates in this alliance.
They also run "old school" raids on Thursday nights such as MC, BWL, Ony and others like it. It is kind of like practice to help everyone work together and a good way to get to know each other and their play styles. These runs will be ideally open to those 60+ and I do believe they have sign-ups on the calendar for that as well.
So I encourage you to check out their site http://monolith.rbcb.net/ and make a post, sign up for stuff and participate to make this work. It will help keep the active players .. well ... active!
Please post here or PM me (if you wish) any questions concerns or comments you may have about this alliance with monolith in game. Don't be afraid to ask in the /join ironmono or
/join merry channel for groups for other instances as well. This alliance isn't just to help with raid attendance it's to help build more friendships outside of SoIP.
