Ok.. is anyone else interested in the BG's?? I'm asking because maybe if we have enough we can join as a group and maybe work together to get more wins. I"m looking to hit any of the BG's at the moment. I need honor and marks.

I'm very torn on the BG issue.
WIth the introduction of season 3, the seaons 1 stuff has been moved to be purchasable with honour points and BG marks. For rogues (and most classes from what I've seen) these weapons are vastly superior to anything you and innstance/raid for until KZ and beyond. So for minial effort I could increase my dps by like 30-40.
On the flip side - I loathe pvp. If I wanted a twitch game I wouldn't bother with wow. Of course part of my loathing is a realyl kinda suck at it too :)

Not a big fan of bg's but some reason I keep going back? Have enough honor again to purchase the season one axe now. Now I can stay away again I hope! On the other hand I am getting close to 11,000 kills:|

Wonder if we can organize a cross faction group Q for like WSG or something to farm marks or something, just thinking out loud.

That's why i'm in the BG's.. I can do it on my own time and don't have to raid for hours!! and nice gear :) I hate the bg's too but this is the only way for me to get purples really.

If you're not raiding and you hate BG's, why purples? More often than not, I swap out purples for blues for heroic instances for set bonuses.

Just an FYI, Blizzard considers this a bannable offense.

Purple != good. I know this... there is purple tanking gear, that isnt good... it flat out sucks actuly. There is tons of crappy DPS gear out there too.
The PVP gear is itemized with Resilience on it so you lose dmg, stats ,something with it. My T4 gloves are better then the S1 gloves I have by some stam, spell crit and + healing, cause it has resilience on it.
But PVP can be fun. get a group together and mess up a WSG game :D good times.

I agree with almost all of wht you said Cit (I only disagree with the purple != good. Purple does equal good, but doesn't gurantee it's better then blue :-) )
Unfortunately, there's still alot of us in quest/instance blues. Especially those working on 2nd, 3rd toons. Prefering to take our mains on KZ, and with the limited amount of KZ run being made, BGs are an expecllent way to get some nice upgrades.
I agree if you don't like (ie HATE) BGs then getting purple gear for the sake of getting purple gear isn't for me. Upgrade or not I'm not spending my precious time online doing something I don't like :) If you don't mind BGs (even if they're not your favourite) then I think it's a great way to get some nice upgrades without the large block of time needed for raiding for semi-equivilent gear.

Because short of buying blues... I dont have any gear. I don't really hate the BG's.. mostly I hate losing in the BG's. Which unfortunatly is more often than not.
The crap shoot is that... I suck at the pvp bg's... because I have no good pvp gear.. I have to suck it up and fight in the BG's with my crap gear to get the resiliance gear. then maybe i'll stop dying in like 1/2 sec and actually get to have more fun :). and yes I kinda suck at fighting too but i'm getting better with practise lol
Also.. comparing to my gear.. the pvp season 1 stuff.. is a fricken HUGE upgrade. Just a long grind to get :) (mage btw)

Personally, I'd do more with the 5 man instances. Great way to gear up and, for me, it's far more fun than BG's. Don't get me wrong, I'm starting to not mind BG's so much anymore, but I do enjoy the PvE version of this game even more.

Teeks,
I'm up for it. granted I probably won't do it the nights that Doril is home. she's not a BG'er. However I know that Syllvester is a BG'er so that could make 3 of us. We also have a couple of non guild friends that I'm sure we could get.
Durg isn't really decked out for PVP but has seemed to be able to do quite well. I don't last to long against a decked out horde rogue or dmg spec warrior but as long as I can stay far enough away from them and plink away I can make their life miserable. On a good day I can melee crit them and really get their attention. Usually at that point I'm a target from then on. LOL

Awsome Durg.. we'll try to group up when we can. I have no gear either.. i'm hoping to get good gear in the BG's then I can maybe get in the arena and work on what ever the current season gear is. It's pretty hard without resilience gear cause some pvp'ers just look at me and I die. lol

Talked to Syll today and He's in for it as well. If there aren't any other guildies interested then I have a couple of friends in Select Geeks that might be able to join us. A Rogue and Priest.

I have started doing BG's and find there are some good aspects to it. They go quick and have some great gear upgrades. Smaller groups of us can go in together. True it is still a groody PUG but, its nice to play with friends too. See you in BGs more and more.

Just an FYI, in EotS, if you can get a group of 5 people together, you'll probably end up being raid leader. You can then move everyone into the same group. A group of 5 moving together to hit the Horde towers (don't bother with the flag--biggest problem in the game is getting people off the flag and doing useful stuff) and as a rapid response defense team can make a huge difference.
